Preview

The Preview tab assembles your ATF and BTF into a single landing page you can look at whole — and lets you score that draft with a simulated audit, so you can see how it would rate against the same 13 dimensions Audits uses on live pages, and compare it to the page you have today.

It has two sub-tabs: Page Preview and Simulated Audit.

Page Preview

Page Preview renders the full draft top to bottom — hero, metrics, features, before/after, proof, founder story, why-us, FAQ, closing CTA — as a real landing page mock. It shows the winner variation for the ATF hero and closing CTA (or the first variation if you haven’t starred one), and it omits any section you’ve disabled, so you’re seeing exactly what a visitor would.

It renders in grayscale on purpose: with no brand colors to react to, you judge the copy, not the palette. (The only thing that stays colored is the amber “AI placeholder” badge on any proof or founder-story content that’s still a fabricated example — a deliberate flag to go replace it.) You can export the whole thing as a Markdown copy deck or a PDF.

The simulated audit

Click Simulate Audit and PlumPMM scores your draft as if it were live — 1 audit-unit per run. Under the hood it assembles your winner copy into a structured representation of the page (skipping disabled sections) and runs it through the same 13-dimension PLUMP rubric and scoring schema a real audit uses. The result is tagged as simulated and stored as a synthetic audit run on the draft, so it can stand in for a live audit in comparisons.

Two things make it different from a live audit:

  • No scrape. It evaluates your assembled copy text directly — there’s no live URL to fetch, so it can’t judge render quality or technical signals. It’s purely a copy-quality score.
  • Pre-launch framing. Its suggested fixes are written as “gaps to close before you ship,” not edits to live copy.

The results panel shows a PLUMP score ring, a spider chart across the five dimension groups, and a per-dimension breakdown with “fix it” links that jump you straight to the relevant ATF or BTF tab. It’s clearly labeled a simulated score — not a live audit.

Comparing your draft to the live page

This is where Preview earns its keep: you can hold the draft’s simulated score up against your live page’s real audit. There are two ways, depending on how much depth you want.

1. In-panel overlay — free, instant. If the draft is linked to a landing page that’s been audited, the Simulated Audit panel automatically overlays the live scores on the spider chart and shows a per-dimension delta (simulated − live) beside each bar — green where the draft wins, red where it regresses. This costs no audit-units and isn’t plan-gated; it’s just there once a linked page has a recent audit. (If that audit is over a month old, it’s labeled stale.)

2. Full Audit Compare narrative — 1 AU. For a written analysis, use Compare to → Live page. This runs an Audit Compare: slot 1 is locked to your draft’s simulated audit, slot 2 is a live audit of the linked page, and you get the overall-rating change, per-dimension movements, a regression/improvement verdict, and an AI narrative — what changed, why it matters, what to try next. Audit Compare is a paid feature (Solo Founder and up); the free in-panel overlay above is the Free-tier answer.

Both paths rely on the draft being linked to a landing page — that link is what tells the comparison which live audit is the baseline. If a draft isn’t linked yet, PlumPMM prompts you to link one first.

Gotchas

  • Generate copy first. With no ATF (and BTF) generated, there’s nothing to preview or score — the hero shows a “not generated yet” placeholder.
  • Re-simulating costs another AU. The simulated audit re-runs from scratch each time you click.
  • Winner copy only. The audit scores your starred ATF/CTA (first-variation fallback) and your enabled sections — so star your winners before you simulate.
  • View-only members can see the preview but can’t run the simulated audit.
